Write a three page original paper describing the problem or issue, why it is important to nursing, and why it continues to be a problem or an issue for nurses or nursing. This is the first step in the research process, and for purposes of this course, will lead to a formal research question related to issue identified. Select a topic of interest as this problem will be the basis for two additional assignments in this course. Review the nursing literature to identify the significance of the identified issue. At the conclusion of this three-page paper, formulate a question that will be developed into a formal research question by the conclusion of the class.
