Here is my sample answer…I need help! Hello, I am very excited to have decided to go back to school to earn a degree in Accounting. I started a career in the Film TV Entertainment business in 1998. I started out as a production assistant and moved up quickly to be a production coordinator and production manager for the following 10 years. I then decided that I wanted a less stressful job. I was asked to help out in the accounting office in a small company I freelanced for on projects and have worked with that boss ever since for close to 15 years. During that time I went from learning the basics of accounting to managing a small staff acting as the controller of a company that’s Revenue reached up to 16 million on an annual basis. All doing this while surviving the loss of my husband and raising my girl alone for the last 10 years. I am truly grateful for all my jobs, but really find I want to learn more and find my new next path in my career. I am definitely a female leader and hope to contribute to many others in the workforce for the next 25 years. I appreciate you taking the time to hear my story. On a financial note, we didn’t have life insurance on my husband and I have been getting by on a single income for almost 10 years now. But in the last 6 months, I have needed to work a less stressful job which was a pay cut and fewer hours, so I can be present more for my 12-year-old girl when she is not in school.
