Assignment: Chapter 11 Case Study: Effects of Smoking Tobacco in Children

Case Study:

An NGO working on the welfare of children wanted to conduct a study to identify the number of children who were addicted to smoking tobacco. The aim was to spread awareness about the harmful uses and provide the adequate treatment to overcome this addiction. The target group involved children who were brought up in the below the poverty line subset. They studied factors such as age, sex, accessibility to the substance, the frequency of use of tobacco, family members who were actually addicted to the same, the different forms in which the substance was used and if there were any other substances used along with tobacco.

In your opinion, how representative would you think the above sample could be of the larger population?
