You should write an office Report addressed to your line manager, answering the legal research questions as instructed the brief below. Your Report needs to be word-processed, double-spaced in an Arial 12 font. Your Report should contain an introduction, conclusion/summary and appropriate sub-headings. The report should be referenced using the Harvard referencing system and your report must include a Reference List
Your total submission including references in the main body of the Report, but excluding your Reference List, should not exceed 2,000 words. Law Research: Please cover all 4 points below in your report 1. What is the distinction between an offer and an invitation to treat? In the light of this distinction, how can the decision in Carlill v Carbolic Smoke Ball Company (1893) be explained? (25 marks) 2. With reference to relevant case law, explain the difference between warranties, conditions and innominate terms. (25 marks) 3. Explain the circumstances in which an employer may be held vicariously liable for the acts of an employee. (25 marks) 4.
