Drug/Alcohol/Process Addiction Screening Instrument Analysis paper
Students will select one drug and/or alcohol or process addiction screening instrument commonly used in the assessment and diagnosis of substance related concerns. Students will analyze the instrument in each of the following areas:
1) statistical validity,
2) diagnostic applicability (i.e. does the instrument use language that lends itself towards a DSM diagnosis), and
3) multicultural applicability.
Students will then use their chosen instrument to screen/diagnose a character from one of the movies listed on Moodle and defend their diagnosis. *For the screening instrument analysis, screen a character (preferably a main character) from one of following movies below: choose any

Note that these 2 films in particular have an MPAA rating of “R” and contain sexually graphic and explicit material, adult language, and violence that may be uncomfortable for some viewers. Please choose another film if this material is likely to have an adverse impact on the learning experience for you.
Analysis is to be 1-2 pages APA format (12-point Times New Roman font, double spaced, 1inch margins). But no title page or abstract are required.
