Description

Do a literature review about autophagy and its relation with the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). The literature review must include how autophagy occur (with an emphasis in yeast AND in Caenorhabditis elegans) in the cell.

Search for scientific evidence and explain why autophagy do not occur in SOD1 mutant animals with ALS. Then, explain why there is a research gap regarding mitophagy, because there is a lack of evidence regarding the lack of mitophagy and ALS.

Do a research to show that autophagy is not occurring in ALS models and for this reason there is a possibility that mitophagy is not occurring either.
