A local school wants to advise parents about how playing video games may impact on their pupils. You are an Educational Psychologist who has been asked to produce a report containing information about this, and to provide some recommendations.

Outline what the evidence is in terms of the negative impact of playing video games on children (i.e. justify the need for intervention). You should talk about a variety of issues here, not just a single one

Outline and justify what steps could be taken to minimise the harmful effect. You should consider the age group you are applying your intervention to and ensure the literature relates to it. You must choose a single issue to address here.
