REVISION

-The introduction is fine; but you are free to tweak it a little.
-The biggest problems are the body paragraphs
-The conclusion is fine; but you are free to tweak it a little.
-It is 5 pages that needs to be done; however you just need to work on the 3 pages which would be the body paragraphs; thats your primary focus and your secondary focus (introduction and conclusion), if you see a need to edit a few things in the introduction and conclusion then you are free to do so. You can simply copy and paste the introduction and conclusion, and edit it a little.

BODY PARAGRAPH PROBLEMS
-The essay is mostly summarized; please fix it
– I would like the work to be cited properly
– Make sure your points are clear
-Jihad primary reading is “Reza Azlan”
-Covid primary readings are under “work cited” in the original work

Use the same theme
-There is a Resurgence in Religion
-Resurgence is caused by COVID and Jihad.
-Continue using the same sources; you can add ONE new source but DO NOT take away any of the sources already used.

COVID- you will have to look up information (I would prefer you used the same sources that were used already)
JIHAD-The primary reading (Reza Azlan)

GUIDELINE
We began the second half of the semester with some readings on secularism and secularization. In particular we read about “the secularization theory” and the perceived intersection between the decline of religion, secular society, and modernity. Having spent the last 8 weeks reading and thinking about religion and globalization, your final essay for the course will revisit this issue.
It has become almost a cliché for academics and others to write about the “resurgence of religion” in the late 20th century and early 21st century. A few decades ago many of these same authors were writing about the decline of religion in the face of modernization, arguing that religion was declining as a historical force in the world and not a significant issue in global politics.
Based on the reading and thinking that you have done for this class, in your opinion are these authors right this time or were they right back then?

Using two real world examples from course readings, please answer the following question: (THIS WOULD BE COVID AND JIHAD)
:
Is there a “resurgence of religion” in the world as some now argue, or is the current focus on religion and global politics simply a temporary reaction to 9/11 and subsequent events?

In other words, do the arguments that there is a global resurgence of religion reflect actual trends in the world, or is this so-called “resurgence” simply a bump along the road to the secularized world forecast by secularization theorists several decades ago?——–YOU WILL DO RESURGENCE
