Paper Assignment, BOOK REVIEW:

To write a book review, you will assess this book by considering it’s the strengths and weaknesses using the same criteria you used while reading the book. This should be a 2-4 page paper, addressing the questions below.

Within the context of our Western Civilization II class:

Do these six categories make the world modern? How is he using the terms Modern and Now?

What were the greatest strengths of his argument?

Is there a different category you would add or one category that seems weaker than the others? Why?
Did it provide insight into modern Western history?
Johnson spends a lot of time on the Hummingbird Effect. Be sure you can explain this effect and provide one example from the book. What do you think about the Hummingbird Effect? Does it seem plausible?
Did you find this book enlightening?
