Introduction or Background: approx. 350 words that gives a brief description of the context of the study, what is the study about and why. Brief description of the relevance of the project as supported by the literature, is there is a gap? If so, what is it? Gap in the literature was that there was no time limit when delayed cord clamping was done, could be at 40 sec and at 1minut and 55 seconds. It was only specified at being between 30 seconds and 120 seconds and this could result in not only delayed cord clamping, but also delayed skin to skin contact between mother and baby.

Is there a difference in HB levels for the term new born, in a Melbourne hospital on day 2 and at 6 weeks if delayed cord clamping happened between 30-60 seconds or between 60-120 sec, and could these result improve the time those new mothers can start skin to skin contact with their newborn and still get the maximum benefits of delayed cord clamping.
