Class Group Project Perspectives
Sports and Social Injustice Protest, National Anthem, and Flag
With the recent events in our country and world and in the past let’s look at the role of sports and athletes in the cause of social injustice and reform. Some think sports are not the place for protest and athletes should not use the time during the playing of their sport or competition as a venue to protest. Others view it as a basic right regardless of the place or time. Please answer the following questions and use some examples to back up your position or feeling. After you submit your report go to the Discussion tool under assessments and respond to my questions there and post to others responses. Since we are not face to face this is the only way we can have a discussion. Remember when posting your responses that all school policies on discrimination of any kind is prohibited and that includes classroom topics. Any inappropriate comments or language will be reported to the academic dean.
