Innovation Methodologies

Methodology IntegrationCompare innovation methodologies and customize one for your project or organization. [2 pages, single-spaced]

First, describe three common characteristics among the following innovation methods/approaches (some may be shared by only two of them):

Design Thinking (there are a number of formulations of design thinking, including the Business Model Generation Process in this week’s readings)

Lean Startup

Galenson’s research on conceptual and experimental innovators (described in Gladwell’s podcast)

Second, draw on the unique features of these methods/approaches to customize a methodology that you could use in an innovation project, such as a capstone project on a new bar & grill restaurant.

Be sure to:

Summarize the key processes and techniques in your methodology (if desired, you may use bullets with complete sentences)

Indicate where you are borrowing your ideas from (e.g., lean startup)

Explain why this approach is a good fit for your project or organization
