ASSIGNMENT

In order to demonstrate that you understand how to apply a style guide to your writing, you will write an essay of no more than 500 words on any topic.

You will not be assessed on the ideas or content of the essay, just your application of the style you’ve chosen, and your use of paraphrase, summary, and quotation.

Ensure that your essay contains the following:

Appropriate font size and style;
A properly formatted title page (if title pages are used in the style you’ve chosen), and/or first page with essay title and course information;
Double spacing in the body of your essay;
At least three different sources cited in the body of your essay;
A properly formatted Works Cited page or References page (depending on the style you’ve chosen;
At least one paraphrase, one summary, and one direct quotation that effectively supports your ideas;
Refer to the rubric below for specific assessment criteria. Once you have made sure that your essay meets these criteria, submit it to the dropbox
