You will develop a five-year plan for the implementation of your role in your service or department. Follow the guide provided below. You will be marked on these elements in your assignment.
Assessment will take into account your ability to:
review the department’s core activities and the how your workplace practices cultural safety undertake an evaluation of the current clinical activities in the department
identify areas of clinical activity in which the role of the nurse practitioner can enhance current practice
provide a plan which includes:
an introduction- Introduction to the guideline, context in which the advanced practice role will work, review the departments core value and cultural safety values
identify need- overview of current clinical activities of the department, identify areas of clinical need
planning stage- identify the scope of practice for the advanced practice role, provide the framework/ references to support development, identify team including reasons for inclusion, provide a 3 to 5 year plan, incremental steps to final outcome, reporting structure, communication strategies, costings/ finances
implementation steps- steps required to achieving outcomes, evaluation methods and framework
evaluation- data collection, reporting structure
conclusion- summary of project
