You will need to write a word case study that identifies the sport behaviour of an individual that you wish

to examine from a psychological standpoint. You will then need to identify a theory that explains this behaviour

& assess the degree to which this theory is the best explanation of this behaviour. Additionally, you will to

briefly propose a research study that would seek to extend and explore this theory & justify why this research

would be useful for the selected individual.

There are 3 key sections to this assignment. These are detailed below.

1. Identify a specific sport behaviour of an individual that you wish to examine from a psychological

standpoint. This behaviour may need to be supported by relevant material (e.g. press clippings, web pages,

interview data, etc.).

2. Identify a theory that explains this behaviour & assess the degree to which this theory is the best

explanation of this behaviour. To do this, you will need to refer to appropriate research

3. Briefly propose a research study that would seek to extend and explore this theory & justify why this

research would be useful for the selected individual. You should try to make this as realistic / feasible as
