Annotated Bibliography (/20)

Structure:

– The first 1.5 page should be about the author’s main argument the last half page should be conclusion.

1) APA reference entry and format (worth an easy 2%!)

– Correct APA format

– Follows all document formats (font, spacing, correct indentation, title in bold at the top center of the 1st page, page numbering, no direct quotations, stays within the 2 page limit)

– Title page

2) Synopsis of main argument (bulk of the grade is here so make sure you are making this part is well done  12%)

– Identifies the argument correctly and clearly

– Identifies the main conclusions of the argument correctly and clearly

– Clearly indicates how the argument supports the conclusion

3) Relevance to the course paradigm (6%)

– How clear/plausible is the explanation of how our course paradigm has relevance to the argument as summarized?

– Student uses core concepts discussed throughout the course and relates the article CLEARLY and CONCISELY to the course paradigm (think of the main concepts that we have spoken about)

– Remember to stay on topic and make sure the connection is CLEAR, PLAUSIBLE and RELEVANT to the course paradigm and the article itself.
