HAPPINESS: Have Americans found ways to increase their happiness since the 1960s?
INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS: What factors or interests have shaped U.S. foreign policy? Has U.S. foreign policy done more good than harm for Americans and for the rest of the world?
GLOBALIZATION: How has the United States shaped the process of globalization? What have been the pros and cons of globalization?

RULES OF EVIDENCE:

Your essay should draw details and/or short quotations from at least 8 different HIST 4750 readings or viewings. See below for a list of those HIST 4750 materials. As a general rule, try to use as much evidence as possible while still keeping to the seven-page limit. We had fewer materials on U.S. international relations and globalization, so if you choose questions 4 or 5, it’s ok if you use only five readings/viewings.
