This writing assignment allows for students to begin to explore family-of-origin issues to help facilitate an understanding of family dynamics with attachment and anxiety which will be discussed later in the course.

Students will prepare an analysis of the Eight Concepts of Murray Bowen, by applying these concepts to attachment, anxiety, and family dynamics. Please choose two of Bowen’s eight concepts that are most intriguing to you.
