Problem based assignment psychology in education

In Pine Hill High School the headteacher is concerned that rates of bullying are increasing. The headteacher is aware of research that highlights the risk that children with special educational needs and disabilities are more likely to be involved in bullying. You have been invited to develop an intervention to tackle school bullying based on what we know about identity-based bullying.

A) Explain why it is important to tackle bullying,

B) Explain why it is important to focus on the children with special educational needs and disability, and

C) State how you propose to devise, run and evaluate the intervention.

Note: It is very important that you justify your decisions at every stage, especially when it comes to the nature of the intervention, i.e. why have you chosen that specific focus and why would that intervention be the most effective? Justify all key elements of the program. Remember, this is a Psychology essay, and ensure that your justifications draw on psychological theories and research.
