Overview: Respond to the Problem of sustainable public transportation in the Dallas area through a written essay. According to the United Nations, sustainability refers to “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs now.” Sustainability is a difficult to achieve. As the next generation of leaders, you may work in businesses and communities that seek to address these challenges. The focus for this year’s Comets to the Core project connects a large societal challenge with a local problem. By now, you have a working understanding of the Problem of sustainable public transportation in the Dallas area and potential solutions from the sources found in the document library on e-learning.
Assignment Instructions:
• Explain the Problem and synthesize information from different types of sources e.g., newspaper article, an academic paper, etc.
• Select a solution to the Problem from the readings and explain it is useful and/or important to addressing the problem.
• Identify potential challenges to the proposed solution and methods for overcoming those challenges.
• Compose a well-organized, clear, concise written response.
