Components of Debriefing

INACSL Standards of Best Practice Debriefing is an entire section devoted to the debriefing process. Please review the Criterion and Elements that make for good debriefing questions.

Posting should include the answers to the following questions:

In two paragraphs (3 sentences each), define the term debriefing as it relates to health care simulation.

Describe two major components used by a facilitator and why. (Criterion 2, 3, and 4 discuss the components and elements needed for debriefing)

Develop at least 2 specific debriefing questions related to your simulation ( DKA r/t Hypercemia for New-Onset Type 1 Diabetes in children) and why you decided to use them.

Explain the difference between Debriefing and Briefing and give an example of each.
