Florence Nightengale was focused on treating the “whole of the client’ Holistic Care
incorporates the physical, social, psychological, and spiritual aspects of clients. The
physical aspects include daily needs and a safe enviroment. Each client has their own
needs that need to be met in order to heal. Different diagnosis, (such as HIV, VRE,
dementia) affect how the client is given care . The culture of the unit influences how
we care to these clients. New nurses are shaped by the staff that has been there for
years.
Explain Different nationalities and age groups may not agree on how care for clients.
How does the nurse adapt to the culture of the unit if their beliefs about care are
different.
