END OF LIFE CARE

The learning activities this week include a description of levels of measurements, scales, and questionnaires. In addition the discussion focuses on application of the key concepts related to instruments and data collection.

This week we have reviewed measurement and data collection procedures for the research proposal.

Discussion Question

begin by responding to the following questions:

Search and locate an existing instrument that will be used to address your research question.

Post the title of the instrument selected and the level of measurement on the tool.

Next, post a description of the type of scale used in the instrument.

Include a brief discussion of data collection procedures that will be presented in your proposal.

Paper must be in APA format, all sources must be between the year of 2018- 2022.

End of Life Care ( below are problem statement and research question to be used for the research paper)

PROBLEM STATEMENT:

Due to a lack of appropriate training and continuous follow-up education between patients, families, and healthcare providers, failure to respect patients’ wishes and communicate precisely remains a concern at the end of life care.

RESEARCH QUESTION:

Does the implementation of a continuous patient focus educational program on end-of-life care involving healthcare providers, patients, and families result in increased patient and family satisfaction compared to standardized discharge education
