Research and find at least two (2) early probation statutes (Pre-1950), and, in addition to summarizing your research, be sure to discuss, analyze and evaluate the following questions:

Discuss the merits, value and implications of these statutes.

Are these statutes still applicable today, or have they been revised, amended or abolished?

In your opinion, was it prudent and necessary to revise, amend or abolish these statutes? be specific.
