The discussion says, “..What should the government have done to rectify the issues?” Was their unethical conduct? Or what ethical conduct could have made the situation right? It’s possible they were acting in good faith, but later learned of information that could point toward the person’s innocence. Ethically, what is the government’s responsibility here?
