Purpose: In many ways, we are a product of our environment. An organization as a human system is influence and shaped by environmental factors. This assignment is to demonstrate your understanding of the impact of environmental factors on organizations and how management decisions are influenced by them.

Using College of Idaho, or an organization of your choice, describe the general and industry environment that affect its organizational decisions (strategy and operations).

Select no less than 3 dimensions in the general environment and no less than 2 from the industry environment to analyze the organization and the management decisions. Briefly describe/explain each dimension.
For each dimension, cite a specific element, feature, or event in the environment that affects management decisions.
Describe the feature or event in adequate detail and explain the manner it is affecting specific management decisions. Ask yourself, how did this environmental factor lead to a particular management decision? Were it not for this environmental characteristic, would the actions or decisions be different? How?
