A few ethical issues would be creating or planting evidence, lying in reports, and unprofessionalism. These are just some of the potential ethical issues that can occur when investigating a death scene. These can impact the investigation severely. In the code of ethics, it gives 16 different roles that need to be followed when investigating a death scene. One must be able to remove themselves from an investigation due to personal, financial, employment related, or conflicts of interest as this can lead to unprofessionalism and one being biased in the case (Science, 2021). If the investigator cannot follow the code of ethics, they need to go through further training or possibly be shadowed until they can be trust investigating alone.

Some of the warning signs would be one acting unusual or erratic, freaking out or getting startled when loud sounds go off, and flashbacks when seeing a certain object.
