For this assignment, you are required to create a 3000 word Portfolio.

Your portfolio should consist of two parts each of approximately 1,500 words, for a total of 3,000 words. These will be weighted equally:

1) a theoretical examination of two or more strands of discrimination (gender, class, race, religion, sexuality) using an intersectional framework.

2) an examination of a case study where the above theories could be applied.

Assignment criteria

Assignment 001 will be adjudged on your ability to:

1. Consolidate and critically review key theoretical and empirical knowledge on the key themes of gender, race/ethnicity, religion, class and sexuality on a global scale;

2. Critically apply intersectional thinking to the key themes of the module;

3. Engage with different modes of resistance in reflective and creative ways.
