The Grammar Guide Assignment
In teams of three or four, you will Create a Grammar Guide that consolidates your learning this semester as well as extends your knowledge to at least ten substantial matters of grammar that we have not completely covered in class.
Interpret ‘Grammar Guide’ as creatively or conservatively as you like. Your grammar guide might take the form of a formal report in Microsoft Word; it could be a PowerPoint presentation or a series of PowerPoints (perhaps incorporating audio and video); it could be a website; or a series of YouTube videos or Podcasts; or even a portfolio of hand-crafted pieces (Keep in mind that you must ultimately submit your work to Brightspace, so if you choose to create something analog, you will have to photograph it and put the pictures together in a single document for digital submission.)
You might also consider creating a variety of educational resources: create a series of quizzes or learning activities such as word-find games, a “pub quiz” or a “Jeopardy” game. What about creating flash cards or other studying resources? How about an ENGL 205 Survival Kit? You can find lots of tools online to help you create such things.
