This is the essay for Psychology and Learning module. Message from lecturer: while your focus may be on academic achievement, you should also consider cognitive and socio-cognitive underpinnings to achievement acknowledging the role and types of talk engaged in, cognitive level of task presentation by teacher in relation to cognitive level of the student. Also, as the core of the module, we used Vygotsky’s and Bronfenbrenner’s theories of social development that could be used in the essay.
