In two to three pages, provide a combined summary of chapters 10 and 11. As part of the summary, explain some the main factors that led to the start of the American Civil War as well as the rise and fall of the Reconstruction Period. The summary should be double spaced, 12pt font, Calibri or Times New Roman.

After reading about Abraham Lincoln’s policies and attitudes toward black people during the Civil War, do you think he deserves credit as “the Great Emancipator”? Why or why not?
