This assignment deals with legal positivism. Answer the following : 1. In one page (300 words) give a summary of the main ideas/arguments of legal positivism. Do not discuss specific writers –just give the main ideas. Use the study guide for this question. (10)

2. Choose one of the legal positivists and explain his ideas in more detail. Use one of the writers in the study guide, but you will need to do more research on the topic. Your answer should not exceed two pages (600 words). (20)

3. In your own words, explain whether you find legal philosophy a convincing philosophy or not. You need not provide references, but you must make a philosophical argument regarding this theory. (10)
