As you search, you will notice that each hotel has a program in place, but each program is categorized differently (e.g., green program, sustainability, corporate responsibility).

After choosing a company, search the Internet for news about the hotel company’s environmental/sustainability program. You may find that the hotel has a blog, and trade publications may provide helpful information as well. Also, you may consider researching the hotel’s corporate website rather than researching the website where reservations can be made. To do this, type the name of your chosen company in a search engine, and follow the hotel’s name with “corporate” (e.g., Marriott corporate).

Utilize your resources to address the information below:

Briefly summarize what the hotel is doing in the area of sustainability and corporate responsibility.

Summarize what the company is doing to maintain facilities and to be cost-effective.

Based on your research, describe three areas where the hotel company can improve.
