The construction of the pyramids is an amazing feat of technology. Yet no-one knows for sure how they were built. The ancient Egyptians had only simple tools made of stone, wood and bronze. They had no cranes, computers, rock cutters or heavy earth-moving equipment.

The pyramids were more than a massive tomb, symbol of the immortality of the Pharaoh. They also portray and symbolize the might and power of the pharaohs, as well as Egyptian well-structured economy.
