Setting of project: Nationwide Home Infusion Company

Problem addressed: Effectiveness of a new structured comprehensive orientation program.

Objectives of project:
1)-Analyze effective techniques to provide per-diem and part-time staff who cannot attend the entire orientation program with the needed material.
2) Analyze if the branch managers and the newly hired nurses are satisfied with the new organizational-wide orientation program.
3) Determine if the new organizational-wide orientation program increases the newly hired nurses’ speed to perform home infusion visits independently.
4) Determine if the newly designed program has led to a reduction in medication and procedural errors.
5) Evaluate if there is an increase in core therapy competency at the end of orientation.
