PRINCIPLE OF COMMUNICATION COURSE
Take the assessment “What is Your Personality Type?” presented on page 141 of the course text. When finished, reflect on what it says your personality type is (Engleberg & Wynn, 2015). For the class discussion, post your response to the following questions: What do you make of personality tests? Did taking the test provide you with any new insight? How might considering the personalities of those with whom you interact support interpersonal communicant? When possible, provide examples from your own experience.
Additionally, in your post, discuss strategies for resolving disagreements and conflicts. Describe a time that you have dealt with a conflict or disagreement in a professional setting and how you handled the situation? Could it have been handled better if you were in the same situation again? Incorporate strategies found in the unit presentations, textbook, or other professional or academic sources. Finally, do you feel personality differences may have been a factor in relation to the conflict or disagreement?
