Health Information Technology Topic (Selection and Rationale)

Supportive Submission #1 requires you to research, choose, and identify the health information technology system.

Give a summary of the informatics system of your choice, including its history and background, the founding organization, and how the system currently interacts with the U.S. health care system. Identify the potential opportunities and limitations.

Conduct outside research to identify a system of your choice. Some examples include electronic documentation systems for health care organizations, mobile applications, and telehealth (including patient portals, personal health records, remote monitoring, etc.).

If you select an application for a mobile device, there will need to be enough research and discussion to write an entire report on its main components, reliability, and influence on population health.
