As a health care provider communication technique is essential to provide holistic care for patients. The patient is a 40-year-old black recent immigrant from Africa without health insurance.

Do you have a history of hypertension, Diabetes or Asthma? Patient current pain/discomfort assessment. Due to patients' recent migration to U.S. cultural and genetics questions technique is necessary. When did you enter the U.S. and from what country? Spiritual and religious beliefs? What is your perception of health/healthcare? Any Cultural foods or diet accommodations needed?
