Topic: write an analytical essay
Consider all of the following questions, and address them in a five-paragraph process essay that includes an intro, thesis statement, 3 paragraph (minimum) body, and a conclusion.
- Describe the process of choosing a story to write about. What were your main influences in choosing the story you did? What theme did you focus on, and why?
- What type of outside information did you include in your essay? How did you incorporate this information into your essay?
- Discuss three parts of the essay and why each of these essay parts is important.
- If you had to do your analytic essay all over again, would you choose the same story? Why or why not? Was this a challenging topic? If so, in what way?
- After reading and writing about the story, are you more interested in it? Why or why not? Were there ideas expressed that you had not considered? Would you be more inclined to read the author’s other works?
