What steps should be taken to prevent an environmental illness while playing football in the southeastern U.S. in August?Explain

This is a threaded discussion so everyone does NOT need an original post.

What conditions would you look for? What things must you know about the athlete? What can you do to prevent injury? What injuries can happen? What factors influence their performance? What are red flags? How should you manage the athlete?

You do NOT need to answer all of these! We are trying to run this as a real time classroom, so respond to one another as if you were talking, and asking questions. Playing “devils advocate” is allowed! Ask good questions to your classmates! You can ask… what are the signs and symptoms?

What will you do to evaluate and manage the problem? What are some of the questions you will ask him? What’s the purpose of each question? What are you looking for?What will you look for in your evaluation of the athlete? How do you think this should be managed?
