Assignment Brief
In this item of assessment, you are required to submit an individual written piece on the pursuit of sustainability in a category of products, services, or works of your choice. It is recommended that you select an industrial sector with which you are familiar, either through work experience or existing interest.

Select any category of products, services or works to discuss with one limitation: to be relevant to the degree you are studying it should include a supply network and a logistics component. Thus, the pursuit of sustainability in pet food manufacturing, housebuilding, holidays or publishing would be fine; selling insurance or mining cryptocurrency might be harder to fit into the assignment brief.

Discuss the complex interplay of issues that are found within the chosen category or sector, as businesses seek to achieve sustainability of the kind argued for by Elkington (1994) who suggested that genuine sustainability requires simultaneous achievements against the often competing dimensions of financial, social and ecological performance.

Consider the extended supply network and the positions of a broad range of stakeholders including those who work to provide the goods/services/works and those who sell, use, consume, handle eventual disposal or perform any other roles where the social, environmental and financial impacts of an increasingly ethical world are felt. You yourself should appear within the document, as one of the stakeholders, presenting your personal views and experiences as they relate to the chosen topic
