Untapped Market for Home Security
Introduction
Security issues across the world are becoming a great concern to many homeowners, especially those people residing in urban and big city centers (Toschi et al., 2017). The market for home security is increasing daily, and dealers in home security are utilizing every opportunity that comes with this era of new advanced technologies (Byron et al., 2018). The current research has focused on a new untapped market for home security appliances. Given the high rate of home invasions reported, there is a considerable market for home security products. Besides that, there are many additional threats to home security, prompting more people to consider home security alarms as a serious issue. Ekanem (2020) claims that such states as Mississippi, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and New Mexico report many home intrusions cases and related dangers to home security. These additional threats to home security have forced many people to consider purchasing home alarm security appliances to keep them safe from property crimes (Georgiev & Schlögl, 2018). The purpose of the study is to establish whether non-lethal home defense weapons to protect consumers are the untapped new market for home security appliances. As the broad parameters, the research will use the insights of the luxury-owning customers that need home security appliances to protect themselves from home invasions and other threats to home security. Furthermore, the research will establish whether there is a need to venture into developing home security appliance products. The main research question of the study is to examine the new untapped market for home security appliances. The main hypothesis of this proposed research is that projecting the success of home security appliances/products that prevent package theft will be a significant investment option in the nearest future.

Proposed Research Questions
Given the current study, three questions will be investigated for which this research is supposed to provide answers on:

What non-lethal home protection weapons are viable in contrast with lethal home guard weapons?

To what extent will non-lethal home protection weapons prevent home intrusions and different dangers to home security?Explain

How important is it to invest resources in non-lethal home protection weapons that are costly and need effective utilization?
