Learning Outcome 1 is a research report investigating the principles of regulation underpinning care practice:

“Research and explain contemporary professional codes of conduct and regulation within the Scottish care sector”

This report must cover the following evidence requirements:

• Roles and responsibilities of nursing and health and social care professionals

• Education requirements including revalidation

• Codes of conduct with relation to ethical behaviors and professional boundaries

• Parameters within professional practice –accountability and responsibility; limits; referrals and professional supervision
