Use the course textbook, AND “current” (within 6 years of publication) scholarly/peer reviewed articles or trade journal publications. Avoid using company websites or promotional/commercial sources, such as blogs/news sources etc., as they are trying to sell something and/or are generally biased information. Google Scholarly has problems as well including many articles are not final publications or only abstracts and thus do not allow for full critique.
BLOCK 1 – (400 Words minimum and at least one scholarly source) What does successful job restructuring involve? Next, find a company that recently went through a resign and discuss the process and the reasons why they restructured. Be sure to match course concepts with your redesign and give specific examples. A quick web search will only ensure a low grade. This is another area where the librarians are helpful in finding scholarly/trade journal resources.
BLOCK 2 – (400 Words minimum and at least one scholarly source)
Q1b) As a supervisor tells you she overhears a group of staff members making lite racial and gender jokes that team members could overhear. This has been going on for a few days, and one comment was even about a particular member of the team. Yet, that member has not heard the comments. The targeted employee never tells HR or his supervisor about the incident. Does this qualify as sexual harassment? What should HR do about it? Cite your sources to support the answers.

Q2 Chapter 8 in our text discusses the staffing process. Find a technical job, either a welder, CNC operator, business accountant, or sales job, and design a selection process for one of these positions. Items to include are recruiting a diverse workforce through actual job offer to candidate. Ensure you discuss how this process is legal and reliable and valid. Hint, what methods would you use to ensure you are hiring the right candidate. Don’t forget to use sources.
