For my strategic plan issue, have chosen one aspect of my health care facility which have identified the need for cost saving measures. When it comes to patients having to be transported to outside facilities when they are admitted as “inpatients”, ambulances transports are a necessity in ensuring continuity of care is delivered. In these situations where inpatients need transport for diagnostic testing or treatment, Medicare does not pay for the transport, leaving hospitals to pay the bill

And my solution or plan is…

My plan proposes contracting an ambulance provider to partner with our facility in order to provide more business to the provider in return delivering faster, fixed rate costs per transport.

This is currently approved by my professor and needs to stay on topic with this idea.

Per our professor he wants a one sentence summary for each reference and compare how it will work for the strategic plan of integrating a partnership between the organization and ambulance provider
