Feldman concludes his chapter on the nature of death by saying that death is a conceptual enigma. He means by this that we don’t have a fully satisfactory analysis of what death consists in. One of the major problems that gets in the way is what he calls “deathless exits”. Present Feldman’s reasons for extending his analysis beyond D5 and attempt to improve on his final version (D8) by discussing why Feldman thinks that D8 is still not adequate. Give a diagnosis of the main problem and suggest a way to improve on the analysis of death (base the majority of the paper on the readings) .
