1. Select a current issue in human sexuality: (1) Name the topic, (2) write a short description of the issue, and (3) describe how it relates to one or more of the dimensions of human sexuality.
2. Describe one or two historical or cultural events that influenced the way we now consider human sexuality.
3. Being an informed consumer of sexuality information is important. Thinking critically about human sexuality helps us evaluate information. What role might parents play in informing their children about human sexuality? What role might the community (e.g. educational system, religious intuitions) play in augmenting sexual-health consumerism?
4. Identify an historical or sociocultural period that impacted the way we view human sexuality, today. For example, compare and contrast the sexual revolution’s impact on the conservative mores of the 1940s and ‘50s. How did love, sex, and marriage change? How might the sexual revolution of the 1960’s have affected our view of human sexuality in the 21st Century?
