SDH Critical reflection

ASSIGNMENT

Write a critical reflection paper about different topics related to social determinants of health (i.e. lack of insurance and access, food insecurity, housing insecurity, unemployment, lack of transportation, poverty, lack of access to green spaces/parks, etc.).

For the paper, select a vulnerable population or group (i.e. elderly/seniors, economically disadvantaged or low income, chronically ill and disabled, pregnant women, children and youth, immigrants and refugees, racial and ethnic minorities, women, or LGBTQ community) and personally reflect upon key social determinants of health that affect your target population.

Explain how the SDoH affects your target population and what can be done to mitigate the effects (solutions/recommendations). Some of you will use your lived experiences to make sense of this assignment, while others will have to do additional research. All of you will have the option of providing an additional perspective on faith/spirituality.

Papers should be written in APA format. The page limit is 4-6 pages.
