A. Do you agree or disagree with the Joint Commission on Mental Illness’s report in 1961 criticizing warehousing mental patients? Explain

B. Do you agree or disagree with the federal legislation that President John F. Kennedy signed mandating local community care facilities for the mentally ill? Please explain

C. What suggestions can you make to help change the outcome of the mentally ill which was reported by the Treatment Advocacy Center in 2010, i.e. the mentally disordered who are in jails and prisons.

D. Are you familiar with community care facilities in your community that help the mentally ill and do you think these facilities are beneficial? Please explain.

E. Do you think the use of psychotropic drugs since the 1950’s has been a positive force for the mentally ill? Please explain why or why not.
