Topic for your Op-Ed : Obesity Among College Students

Note: This is a law/policy op-ed. So, your op-ed should not be telling students how to eat and exercise better (behavior modification), it should be addressing a legal or policy change.  Also, think about what the call to action would be.  What do you want the reader to do?

Remember this question: What are you willing to fight for?  Think about an issue that you are passionate about for which a policy or policy change would have great implications. The policies may involve federal, state or local government or they may involve organizations and institutions.

Write a Op-Ed using this format:

  1. State the problem or situation.
    b. State your position.
    c. Give evidence to support your position.
    d. State and refute the position of the other side in the conclusion.
    e. Offer possible solutions to the problem or situation.
